Spec Environmental Solutions Inc.

Spec Environmental Solutions Inc. owns and operates a provincially inspected compost facility located in St. Joseph, Digby County Nova Scotia. Since 2001, we have been working with the forestry, fishing and farming industries in order to provide these sectors with an environmentally friendly alternative to dispose of their unutilized organic materials. To date, there has been over 20,000 tonnes diverted from landfills which are used to create a high quality compost mix.

In October 2009, a Rotochopper MC256 wood grinder was purchased by Spec Environmental, due in part to supply the compost operation with woodchips to regulate the C/N Ratio of the compost as well as, grinding construction debris & supplying wood for biomass furnaces.

Spec Resources Inc. is currently supplying Sainte-Anne University in Church Point, Digby County, NS with wood from our grinder for their biomass furnace that was commissioned in December 2009.
